Under The
Light of the Moon

Under the Light of the Moon, a practical and soulful
e-course comprising nine lessons spans one Lunar Month. It offers an
experiential approach to developing awareness of the lunar phases and applying
knowledge used by our Moon-wise ancestors in a contemporary context.
Since learning from and about
Nature is best done through observation and interaction, Under the Light of the Moon is designed
around introspective, contemplative, awareness-building exercises tied to the
science and mythology of the Moon. Participants will study the nature of the
Moon and how it relates to Earth, learn a series of Moon rituals and observe
and interact with the Moon outdoors.
Each lesson includes an overview
of the particular Moon phase that is about to take place and provides links to
several on-line information sources. Each also offers an assignment or series
of simple activities to complete in anticipation of the new phase. Although the
course will be conducted via e-mail, two (optional) tele-seminars will be
scheduled to facilitate interaction among participants and engage the group in
processes designed to heightened consciousness of the Moon’s infinite wisdom.
At each phase,
participants will be encouraged to design and enact a ceremony toward
embracing, with greater understanding and compassion the profound personal
changes occurring for them, and the global transitions affecting all of
Humanity.
While each lesson corresponds to a Moon phase and
participants are encouraged to plan about two and one half hours per phase,
this is a self-paced, home-study course. Participants may do the lessons as
their schedules permit, and are encouraged to keep the materials for use again
and again. I remain available for e-Consultations to participants beyond the
class!
