Pythagoras’ Daughter

A Mystery School

Our tree-free paper

Pythagoras’ Daughter - A Mystery School is pleased to use Lokta paper which is made from the inner bark of the Daphne Bush that grows high in the mountains of Nepal. After harvesting, the bark regenerates and no forestation is destroyed.

Our tree-free paper is both environmentally sound as well as acid free.

The Eco-Twist, earth-friendly ribbon we use is made in the foothills of the Himalayas and contains fifty percent recycled Lokta fibers, vegetable dye and is made by hand using sustainable practices with our earth in mind.

The traditional art of hand papermaking has been handed down from generation to generation in a rural economy that is dependant on the craftsman’s skill. In using this special paper, Pythagoras’ Daughter - A Mystery School is also contributing to an economic enterprise that preserves a traditional way of life for forthcoming generations.

Our purveyor of the beautiful paper isOf the Earth”.
